Sault Tribe Offering Email Confirmation for Harvest Reports

Digital conformation codes are now available for Sault Tribe citizens registering a bear or when submitting an inland harvest report. Upon registration, a code will be sent to your email address.

To harvest a bear, Sault Tribe citizens must fill out bear applications which are available May 1 to June 1. A lottery is then held at the June Conservation Committee Meeting awarding bear permits to eligible hunters who possess an Inland Hunting Harvest licenses and are at least 10 years of age. Bear permits are only valid within the 1836 Ceded Territory. Sault Tribe Elders (60 & older) and Sault
Tribe youth (10-16) are not required to pay the $4 application fee.
