Since 2016, St. Helens School District seniors have proudly participated in one of our district’s most beloved traditions, the Senior Walk of Schools. Dressed in cap and gown, graduating seniors walk the halls of our schools, greeted with cheers, high-fives, and posters from our younger students. It’s a powerful moment of celebration and reflection as teachers reconnect with former students and the entire school community honors their achievements.

UPCOMING ST. HELENS HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD CLOSURE NOTICE:

Please be advised that the St. Helens High School track and field will be closed from June 12 through July 24 due to construction associated with the replacement of the artificial turf field.

During this time, both the turf field and surrounding track will be inaccessible to students, staff, and community members. All entrances to the track and field area will be closed, and there will be no access through this area to the back fields.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these important improvements to our athletic facilities. The project will provide students and community members with an upgraded field for years to come.

Thank you for your cooperation during this temporary closure.

The St. Helens School District Office will operate on a summer schedule beginning the week of July 6, 2026, through July 31, 2026. During this time, the office will be closed on Fridays.

Summer Office Hours:
• Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: CLOSED

Regular office hours will resume the week of August 3, 2026.

This week, the St. Helens School District proudly honors graduates from Plymouth High School, St. Helens Virtual Academy and St. Helens High School. We invite families, friends, staff, and community members to celebrate this exciting milestone with us.

Doors Open: 5:30 p.m.
Ceremony Begins: 6:00 p.m.

No tickets are required for the Plymouth High School & St. Helens Virtual Academy ceremony. Seating is first-come, first-served, with accessible seating available upon request at the door. Parking is available on campus and at the district office (474 North 16th Street), with limited accessible parking near the school entrance.

This is an in-person event only, and will not be livestreamed.

From classroom labs to real-world experiences, students in the St. Helens High School Health Occupations program are building skills that prepare them for careers in healthcare, and making an impact along the way.

This year, students have participated in a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities including wound packing, CPR certification and training, medical imaging with ultrasound, patient transfer training using a Hoyer lift, sports medicine taping labs, bed-bound patient hair washing, and so much more!

Beyond the classroom, students have represented SHHS through HOSA conferences and HOSA Parent Night, while also giving back through Community Health Day of Service.

These experiences give students valuable technical skills, confidence, compassion, and a firsthand look at the many pathways within healthcare. We’re proud of their dedication to learning, serving others, and preparing for their futures in the medical field.

Lewis & Clark Pre-K students enjoyed a special visit from mystery reader Jana Wiersma, Youth Librarian from the St. Helens Public Library! Jana brought stories to life through reading, singing, and movement activities that kept students engaged from start to finish.

For 30 minutes, students listened, sang along, moved, and made meaningful connections through literacy and play. It was a joyful morning full of smiles, participation, and learning. We’re so grateful to Jana for sharing the magic of stories with our youngest learners!
