🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, we pause to remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless lives forever changed by the attacks on our nation.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics and other first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape. We remember the men and women who went to work that morning, the passengers and crews aboard the aircraft, and the families who never got to say goodbye.

We also remember what followed the courage, compassion and unity of a nation that came together during one of its darkest hours.

Twenty-five years later, their memory remains with us.

May we always honor their lives, remember their sacrifice, and never forget the heroes who answered the call.

🙏 Please Keep This Officer in Your Prayers

The Saint Hedwig Marshal’s Office asks our community to join us in praying for a San Antonio Police Department officer who was critically injured Tuesday while assisting with a funeral procession.

The crash occurred near U.S. Highway 281 and Loop 1604.

Please keep this officer, their family, fellow officers and the entire SAPD family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We pray for strength, healing and a full recovery. 💙

🕊️ Dove Season Starts Tomorrow!

A quick heads-up to our community: Dove hunting season begins tomorrow, September 1. If you live in or near a more rural area where hunting is permitted, you may hear gunshots throughout the day, particularly during the early morning and evening hours.

Please don’t be alarmed simply by the sound of gunfire. Hunters are reminded to know and follow all applicable hunting and fi***rm laws, be aware of their surroundings, and always have a safe backdrop before taking a shot.

As always, if you see suspicious or unsafe activity or believe someone is shooting in an area where it is not permitted contact law enforcement.
