On Sunday, June 7, at 5:30 p.m., a deputy with the Saint Hedwig Marshal’s Office observed a black Cadillac ATS traveling eastbound in the 12000 block of FM 1346 and initiated a traffic stop for a traffic violation.
The deputy identified the driver as 22-year-old Goel Navarro. During the investigation, the deputy determined Navarro was operating the vehicle with an invalid driver’s license. Navarro was accompanied by a 34-year-old female passenger.
While speaking with the occupants, the deputy detected a moderate odor of burnt ma*****na emanating from the vehicle. Based on probable cause, a search of the vehicle was conducted.
During the search, the deputy located drug paraphernalia and a white crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Navarro was arrested and transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1. The female passenger was not charged and was released at the scene.
