June 6: Summer exhibitions debut at the St. George Museum of Art

June 8: Concert in the Park featuring Sofia Talvik, 7 p.m.

June 12: Movie in the Park featuring Brother Bear, 7 p.m.

Also on June 12: Fire Hose Frenzy, 9 p.m.

The new Firehouse Skate Park on North Dixie Drive transforms underused space into a 3,500-square-foot community hub for skaters, bikers, scooter riders and rollerbladers of all ages!

Built with RAP Tax funding, this park serves our west side community. Next up: Desert Vista Park. πŸ‘

Quite the project! Thanks to Tech Ridge for this awesome addition to our community!

Some fun facts about The Stairs at Tech Ridge:

-333 steps
-12 feet wide
-630 feet in total length
-Approximately 175 feet of elevation gain
-33 landings
-High-quality handrail system with integrated lighting
-Connects the Rim Trail on Tech Ridge to the Black Hill Paved Trail below
-Deeper than normal steps for more stability
-Award winning design

For perspective:

-The longest continuous concrete stair section at Rice-Eccles Stadium is approximately 130 steps
-The longest continuous concrete stair section at LaVell Edwards Stadium is approximately 150 steps
