🎓💚 Congratulations to the Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Class of 2026! 💚🎓

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible group of graduates who have spent countless hours helping make our parks, programs, and events special for our community. Whether you’ve seen them working at our parks, assisting with programs, welcoming visitors, or lending a hand wherever needed, they have each played an important role in making Dorchester County Parks and Recreation the place we all know and love.

We are so proud of everything these graduates have accomplished and all that lies ahead for them. Their hard work, dedication, leadership, and passion have left a lasting impact on our team, and we know they are destined for amazing things. While we’re excited to see where their next adventures take them, they’ll always be part of the DCPRD family.

A very special shoutout goes to Robbie Infinger, Valedictorian of the Woodland High School Senior Class of 2026! What an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be more proud of all of your hard work and success. 👏🎉

Please join us in congratulating all of our graduates! If you’ve met them at one of our parks, attended a program they’ve helped with, or simply know them personally, we’d love for you to share your favorite memories, kind words, and encouragement in the comments below. Let’s flood these graduates with the support and appreciation they deserve as they begin this exciting new chapter! 🎓✨

Congratulations, graduates—we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Big improvements are on the way! Portions of Rosebrock Park’s trail will be closed over the next few weeks as we strengthen and widen several bridges. Thanks for your patience while we work to make the park safer and more accessible for everyone! Rosebrock park is located at 507 Beech Hill Road.🌿🚧

Last night, we recognized and celebrated the final Parks and Recreation Commission meeting of longtime board member Mike Montei.

For years, Mike has been a passionate advocate and champion for our park system, supporting every step along the way. From volunteering at countless events to dedicating his time and leadership as a board member, his impact on our community will be felt for generations to come.

One of Mike’s many lasting contributions came in 2009, when he partnered with the Ashley Ridge High School National Honor Society to help create Rosebrock Park — a space that continues to serve and bring joy to our community today.

Mike’s dedication, vision, and unwavering support have helped shape our parks into what they are today, and we are incredibly grateful for his years of service to Dorchester County Parks and Recreation.

Please join us in thanking Mike for his commitment to our community and wishing him all the best in his future endeavors. Thank you, Mike, for everything you have done for our parks and the people who enjoy them every day! 🌳🌲

🚨 Don’t forget your membership card! 🚨

As we head into our busy summer season, we’ll be more strictly enforcing our membership card policy at park entry. Friendly reminder that guests MUST have their membership card ready at the gatehouse to enter the park. We will no longer be able to check members in through the office for a forgotten card, as too many visitors are bypassing the office check-in process.

The good news? You can access your membership card digitally through your RecDesk account! Check out the video in our post for a tutorial!📱

If you don’t know your RecDesk login information or need help getting set up, give one of our park offices a call and our aides will be happy to help:
📞 Pine Trace: 843-563-2700
📞 Ashley River: 843-806-2426

With summer crowds arriving, we want to help keep entry smooth so everyone can spend more time outside enjoying the park. ☀️🌿

Thanks for helping us make this a fun and easy summer for everyone!

Reset your week with Yin Yoga at the park led by Molly! 🌿🧘‍♀️

This relaxing practice focuses on long-held poses designed to help release tension, improve flexibility, and target deep connective tissues and fascia. Take time to slow down, tune into your body, and unwind in a peaceful outdoor setting.

Be sure to bring water and your yoga mat! Yoga blocks and a bolster are highly recommended for support during postures, but a rolled towel, blanket, or pillow works great too.
