Please join us in congratulating Barb Berrett, who was not only nominated for the City Manager’s All-Star Award, but was also voted Employee of the Month.
Barb was recognized in the following nomination:
“I would like to nominate Barb Berrett for the City Manager's All-Star Award in recognition of her nearly 20 years of dedicated service as a City Engineer and the outstanding impact she has made on our organization.
Throughout her career, Barb has been an invaluable asset to the City, consistently demonstrating professionalism, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. She has played a key role in several important and complex projects, including the Slick Rock Sub Station, UDOT I-15 Transmission Line Realignment, and the Utah Tech Sub Station & Millcreek Battery projects. Her technical knowledge and attention to detail have helped ensure the success of these critical initiatives.
Beyond her project work, Barb is truly our ‘go-to person,’ someone we can always count on for answers, guidance, and support. She has a unique ability to step in wherever needed, offer thoughtful solutions, and provide steady leadership in challenging situations.
Her deep knowledge and collaborative approach have made a meaningful difference not only within Utilities, but across City operations as a whole. With Barb retiring next month, this is an especially fitting time to recognize her years of dedication, service, and the tremendous value she has brought to the City. Her expertise, reliability, and willingness to support others have left a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed. Barb is truly deserving of the City Manager's All-Star Award.”
