CALL TO ACTION - NFRW has been promoting Keep Nine legislation for several years -both in the House (2 bills -HJR 8 and HJR1) and in the Senate (SJR 21). In the past, NFRW has requested and received Resolutions from NFRW clubs in support of the Keep Nine legislation and has requested that members call their representatives to ask them to cosponsor the legislation. This year HJR1 passed out of the Judicial Committee and is scheduled to be heard/voted on by the full house possibly as soon as September 1. President Martha is requesting that all NFRW members be advised to call their Congressman, regardless of party- and ask them to support HJR1, which simply states "The Supreme Court of the United States shall be composed of nine justices consisting of one chief justice and eight associate justices."
