This week, the Switchpoint Tooele Food Pantry received a generous truckload of food thanks to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, JustServe, and America250.

This donation will help support families in Tooele County and provide resources to additional food pantries throughout Tooele and the Salt Lake Valley.

It was incredible to see community members, volunteers, church leaders, and city leaders come together in service.

As Mayor Manzione shared, “By partnering with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, America 250, Just Serve, and Switchpoint, we are making this community better.”

Thank you to everyone who helped make today possible.

Last week, we hosted Project BRIDGE at our West Valley overflow shelter in partnership with Tyler Clancy and the Utah Office of Homeless Services.

Organizations from across the community came together to provide legal resources, employment support, behavioral health services, recovery resources, and more for individuals staying at overflow and others in the community seeking support.

Project BRIDGE is about meeting people where they are and helping connect them to the next step forward.

As our Overflow Site Manager, Lanny Outcalt, shared: “It gives them hope and inspiration that where they are is not where they have to stay.”

We are grateful to every community partner who showed up ready to serve, support, and make a difference. Real change happens through collaboration, compassion, and connection. 🤝

Yesterday in Tooele, community leaders, volunteers, and future homeowners came together to help create something lasting 💙

Switchpoint CEO, Carol Hollowell, joined leaders like Governor Spencer Cox, First Lady Abby Cox, Tooele Mayor Maresa Manzione, Habitat for Humanity, and local volunteers to spend the morning serving alongside one another at newly built homes for local families.

At Switchpoint, we believe strong communities are built through connection, service, and access to safe, stable housing. We’re grateful to have been part of a day that reflected that mission so clearly.

Switchpoint Harris Community Village was honored to sponsor lunch for everyone involved.

Real impact starts when communities come together.🫂

There’s something extra special about handmade donations. 💛

This week, we were honored to receive 13 beautiful quilts from the Dixie Quilt Guild. Each one is a gift of time, care, and compassion, and will help welcome new residents with comfort and dignity as they move into our shelter.

Thank you for wrapping our community in love.

At The Biscuit Fix, giving back is built into every order 🍳

Owner Brian shares why supporting Switchpoint matters to him and how something as simple as rounding up can help create real change in our community.

Because when you can see the impact, you want to be part of it. 🧡

Last week we broke ground on 76 new units at our Fairpark housing location, an important step in expanding access to safe, supportive housing in our community. 🏡

For many, this is more than a place to stay. It is a chance to rebuild stability, dignity, and self-worth. As one resident shared, “It means to me a place where we can live here in comfort and safety.”

Supportive housing creates a foundation people can build from, with access to healthcare, job support, and the relief of not having to worry about basic needs.

This expansion comes at a time when the need continues to grow, especially for seniors and those on fixed incomes. While it will not solve everything, it is a meaningful step forward.

We are deeply grateful to the partners who made this possible:
Assist Inc - Community Design Center
Wadman Corporation
Utah Housing Corporation
The Richman Group Affordable Housing Corporation
American Express
Ally Bank
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Utah Office of Homeless Services
Evergreene Management Group

As we close our fiscal year and head into fall, Switchpoint is facing an urgent shortage: only 200 rolls of toilet paper remain in reserve. With dozens of clients, residents, and community members relying on us daily, that supply won’t last long.

Paper goods are easy to overlook, but they are used every single day in our shelter. You can help by:
✅ Donating toilet paper, paper towels, plates, or utensils directly to the shelter at 948 N 1300 W, St. George, UT.
✅ Hosting a paper goods drive with your business, church, or group — message us here on Facebook and we’ll help you set it up

Together we can restock for fall and ensure no one goes without daily essentials. Thank you for standing with us.
