The HEAT program provides home energy assistance to low-income households targeting those who are truly vulnerable, particularly families with preschool-age children, disabled and elderly persons. The HEAT Program is a one-time payment to help low income clients with utility bills during a HEAT season. Clients are referred to the HEAT program by utilities companies, posters displayed by HEAT at va

rious locations, and Information 211. Clients must fall into the Federal Poverty Guidelines and must re-apply every season. HEAT applications are only taken during the period of November 1 through September 30th Washington, Beaver, Garfield, Iron, and Kane Counties or until federal funds are exhausted.
