Murrell Butler Artist and Naturalist Murrell Butler, my uncle and godfather, was a gifted artist and naturalist. He passed away in 2021 at age 84. He passed away at the age of 84 in October of 2021.

My sisters and I now have his beautiful Louisiana wildlife and landscape art, and we hope to honor his wish of sharing it with others to enjoy. Murrell Butler, a talented artist and naturalist, was my uncle and godfather. My two sisters and I are in possession of his beautiful paintings and prints which he intended to sell. We want to continue his plan of getting his art into homes for others to e

njoy. Most of his paintings depict wildlife and landscapes of southern Louisiana. Murrell grew up and resided in Saint Francisville and many of his pieces were inspired by his property- Oak Hill which includes beautiful Bayou Sara and is adjacent to Butler Greenwood and Cherokee where my sisters and I grew up.
