Today was a special day at the library...Representative Adam Smith stopped by and I was able to visit with him one-on-one for well over an hour and a half (I'm sure I took up way more time with him than I should have but he was very patient and generous with his time). I am personally very appreciative of his consistent support and advocacy for libraries in Kansas (especially the small/rural libraries out here in the Northwest Kansas Library System). The small/rural libraries are a very important entity in small/rural communities. Thank you again Adam for taking the time to visit with me...it is very much appreciated, and I look forward to visiting with you again!

WOW! What a great & fun afternoon we had at the Library's America 250 celebration open house this afternoon! The winner for the Amazon gift card drawing is the team of Kim Ritter & Karla Mills. The winner of the closest guess of M&M's in the jar is Elmer Kellner with the guess of 251. The actual amount was 253. The winner of the closest guess of Starburst Jellybeans jar is Eric Lipsey with the guess of 170. The actual amount was 184.
THANK YOU to all who came out and celebrated with us! The library appreciates all your support!

Today is the day! Come on down between 2:00pm - 5:00pm for our open house to celebrate America 250! We will have treats, drinks, little give aways, scavenger hunt for adults, seek & find for the kiddos, trivia questions to answer, guessing game to win a jar of Starburst jellybean and a jar of M&M's. We will have interactive activities for the kiddos & adults with small prizes and give aways. Thursday, July 2nd we will host a come & go celebration reception in the community room from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. We will have treats and drinks. Come check out all the decorations and the book display representing important people, places, and things coinciding with the USA.
