Saint Edward Nebraska Volunteer Fire Department

October 6th was a busy day for St Edward Fire and Rescue.
In the morning along with St Edward School we did a fire drill and had elementary kids tour the trucks and ambulance.
In the evening we practiced with vehicle fires and vehicle extraction.
Thank you to all for your service. We have fantastic volunteers and are very blessed.

Our dept had a great mock accident training today! We have several new members and this was a great drill for them. Special thanks to St Edward Public School, Boone County Sheriff, Levander Funeral Home, our adult distracted driver, the kids that were victims, the moms who added extra drama and anyone else who participated to make this a successful training for all.

Today, St. Edward Fire Dept., along with several other fire departments, were in Albion for their annual mini fire school put on by the State Fire Marshal's Training Division. What an excellent class it was! The class was over rapid extrication. Tons of information was packed into a ten hour course between Friday night and all day Saturday. They also provided another class for our EMT's for continuing education hours today. That class was six hours. Thank Albion Volunteer Fire and Rescue for hosting this and allowing these surrounding departments to use your facility.

Many thanks to Albion Volunteer Fire and Rescue and LifeNet 1-3 Columbus for answering the call for mutual aid last night.

🚁👏 Another outstanding Landing Zone by our friends at Saint Edward Nebraska Volunteer Fire Department.

A huge thank you to the crew for providing a safe, well-coordinated LZ and for the professionalism and teamwork displayed throughout the call. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside you and are grateful you allowed us to be a part of your team in caring for your community.

Not every day goes as planned, but strong partnerships like these make a difference every day. Thank you, Saint Edward Fire & Rescue, and also Albion Volunteer Fire and Rescue for all you do! 🚑🚒💙

Today is National Wildland Firefighter Day. St. Edward Volunteer Fire Department has four Red Card Certified Wildland Firefighters. Paul and Travis are currently out west helping with relief efforts on the Log Road Fire. They should be returning tonight.
