September 11, 2001 is a day we will always remember.

We remember the lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families and loved ones left behind, and all those who grieved.

We also remember how, in the face of unimaginable tragedy, people came together. Neighbors helped neighbors. Communities stepped up. Acts of kindness and service reminded us of the strength we can find in one another.

Today, we remember, we honor, and we carry forward the spirit of compassion and unity that brought us together.

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗳. 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. ⛳️🧡
Last Wednesday, we had an absolute blast at our 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 at the Frederic Golf Course! From teams hitting the course and showing off their golf skills to raffle tickets flying and prizes being won, there was plenty of fun throughout the day. 🏌️‍♀️🎟️🎉

This event would not have been successful without 𝗬𝗢𝗨 — our golfers, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and everyone who came out to support ICPC. We are so grateful for the incredible businesses and individuals who continue to show up for our organization and the people we serve.

Your support helps us continue to provide volunteer transportation and supportive services to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life right here in Polk County. We couldn't do what we do without a community that believes in helping its neighbors. 🧡

Please help us welcome our newest board member, Pam Fifield! 🎉

Pam brings an incredible heart for service to Interfaith Caregivers of Polk County, drawing on a dedicated 46-year career as a Registered Nurse at Osceola Medical Center. 🩺 Having known about Interfaith for years through friends and family members that have volunteered or benefited from our services, she stepped into a board role out of a desire to give back to her community and support our mission of assisting seniors and adults with disabilities in Polk County.

In her free time, Pam loves traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and being outdoors biking, hiking, and gardening. A fun fact about her is that she has a lifelong passion for mission work, having participated in church youth mission trips with her children. Pam has also traveled to Guatemala for a medical mission trip where she got to meet her Compassion International child in person!

💙 International Day of Charity

“Charity at its core is an expression of global solidarity. It brings people together to build more just and resilient societies, whether through direct giving, volunteering, or collective action.” — United Nations

September 5 is International Day of Charity, a day established by the United Nations to encourage people to give back and make a difference in their communities.

If you’re looking for a way to give back right here in Polk County, there are several ways to do so through ICPC:

🤝 Volunteer your time
Whether you have a couple hours each week or just an occasional afternoon, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you. Provide a ride to an appointment, deliver groceries, make a friendly visit, help with a minor fix-it project, read aloud, and more!

💙 Make a donation
Every donation helps us provide free services to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout the county. Donations are tax deductible, and there are many ways to give — including by mail, in person, through Mightycause, donor-advised funds, or Thrivent Choice Dollars.

❤️ Spread the word
Can’t volunteer or donate right now? Sharing our posts is another meaningful way to help! When you share information about ICPC, you’re helping us reach someone who may need our services.

You don’t have to give a lot to make a difference. Every act of kindness matters. 🧡
