𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱

The MN DHS Program Integrity Oversight Division is currently withholding payments from Home & Community Based Providers during integrity reviews. While accountability matters, prolonged payment holds place clients, staff, and essential services at risk. Brendas Place has been affected by this pause in payments.

Delayed payments can mean delayed care. Our communities deserve both integrity AND continuity of services. We urge DHS to prioritize timely resolutions and clear guidance so providers can keep serving those who depend on them most. Holding our payments is causing problems for providers, staff, and the people we serve.

At Brenda’s Place, we walk alongside individuals on their journey after a brain injury. Our supportive services focus on daily living skills, therapeutic supports, community engagement, and respite care. All of this is designed to help individuals rebuild independence, confidence, and quality of life.

You don’t have to navigate recovery alone. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Minnesota’s Home & Community Base Services program depends on honesty and transparency to protect vulnerable individuals. Unfortunately, fraud does happen and it impacts the families who need support the most.

𝗔𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮’𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼:
✔ Accurate documentation
✔ Ethical billing
✔ Safe, client-centered care
✔ Zero tolerance for fraudulent activity.

If something doesn’t feel right, speak up. Protecting our community is everyone’s responsibility. If you see something, say something.
