United Way of Central Minnesota United Way mobilizes communities to action so all can thrive. UWCM invests in more than 40 non-profit human service programs.

United Way of Central Minnesota (UWCM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that helps the whole person and community. Trained community volunteers make funding decisions investing donated funds in core areas:
Education and Basic Needs. UWCM partner programs address needs in the community, achieve measurable results, and are fiscally accountable. UWCM convenes and facilitates community efforts as well as supports its own initiatives that bring people together to address emerging needs.

We spent our last staff meeting getting out into the community with an awesome tour of the 10-10 COP House! St. Cloud COP House

Located at 1114 9th Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud, near 10-10 Park, the 10-10 COP House is St. Cloud’s second community outpost and offers so many incredible resources for local youth and families, including recreational programming, tutoring, family support, food access, community events, and mobile food shelf visits.

Want to better understand how voting works in Minnesota? Join us Tuesday, September 15 for Voter 101 and get the information you need to feel more confident in the voting process.

We’ll cover voter registration, different types of voting, what to expect at the polls, how to research candidates, voters’ rights and common election questions and misconceptions. Plus, there will be time for Q&A!

The session will be presented by Melanie Hazelip, Voter Outreach Director with the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State.

Join us for an interactive session exploring how parents and the professionals who support kids can help children ages 8–15 navigate school transitions, friendships, academic pressure, technology and growing independence.

We’ll explore practical ways to know when to step in and when to step back, while helping kids build confidence, independence and connection. The session will draw on developmental and relational perspectives, along with selected ideas from Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Meeting and truly leaned into the experience of Have You Seen ALICE?

Together, attendees took part in an interactive activity that gave us a closer look at the challenges ALICE households face every day and helped bring the data to life in a meaningful way.

We also celebrated the legacy of Dolly Parton by encouraging everyone to come dressed in their best boots and bling!✨ We shared a special video honoring Dolly and remembering the lasting impact of her generosity and commitment to helping children.

We’re grateful to everyone who showed up, participated, and helped make the morning so impactful. And a special thank you to The Park Event Center - Waite Park, MN for welcoming us and providing a great space for our Annual Meeting!❤️

A huge thank you to North Risk Partners - St. Cloud, MN for lending a hand and helping us support our community! ❤️🙌

Their team spent time labeling Imagination Library books that will be shared at a partner program event, creating Imagination Library bookmarks, and packaging 211 and 988 resource cards to help connect people with support when they need it.
