When catching a bus, stand near any Metro Bus stop sign and wait for your bus to arrive. To let the Operator know you wish to exit the bus, pull the yellow stop request cord. The Operator will let you off at the next signed bus stop. Learn how to stop and exit the Metro Bus when you are near your destination.

Metro Bus operates Fixed Routes in the cities of City of St. Cloud, MN, City of Sartell, City of Sauk Rapids and City of Waite Park, Minnesota Government. There are over 700 bus stops in the service area to hop on a Metro Bus.
Route 8 serves residential areas, businesses and apartments in the Southside University neighborhood and Southeast St. Cloud. It travels as far west as the Wildwood Townhomes on University Drive in St. Cloud, as far south as 27th St NE in St. Cloud with stops at Talahi Community School, Edenbrook St. Cloud, St. Benedict's Senior Community and The Highlands Apartments. Connect to the rest of the Metro Bus system at the Metro Bus Transit Center.

We get to experience the joy and energy youth have while using free Fixed Route service to explore their neighborhoods, grow their sense of community, and embark on whatever adventures they are enjoying this summer!”

Free Summer Youth Program. The U-Go Free Program allows kids ages 17 and younger to have free, unlimited rides on all Metro Bus Fixed Routes from June 1-August 31 with proper ID!

Only collapsible carts are allowed on buses with the exception of strollers. Customers must maintain control of their cart at all times. Carts can be placed in the securement area if no mobility device is present. However, if a passenger in a mobility device boards, the cart must be moved. Empty carts must be collapsed by the customer. The cart, and belongings in the cart, must remain out of the aisle and may not impede passenger movement.
