Going once, going twice, SOLD!

Thanks to everyone who raised a paddle at the live auction or placed a bid in the virtual auction at Denim & Diamonds. Every dollar raised through the St. Johns County Chamber Foundation’s Denim & Diamonds Gala directly supports programs like Leadership St. Johns and provides scholarships for small businesses.

Of course, there were some big highlights.

First and foremost, thanks to Steven Walt with Great Expectations Realty for leading the festivities. He brought the energy!

Congratulations to all of our winners. We’re especially jealous of those who walked away with some of the live auction prizes, like that signed Travis Hunter jersey. Let us know if you need some extra wall space to display it. 😉

We also wouldn’t mind sharing a glass with any of the bourbon and whiskey winners, and we’ll gladly volunteer to be a plus-one on any of those incredible trips or staycations.

Congratulations to the Leadership St. Johns Class of 2026, who graduated last night before the Denim & Diamonds Gala. LSJ is the cornerstone program of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which the gala benefits.

This is no small investment. It is nine months of time - learning every business sector in St. Johns County - learning new skills they can bring back to their diverse organizations.

Thank you for your work on this year’s special project - St. Johns Class of 2026 is working to rebuild a much-needed resource space for the SEA Community, serving Spuds, Elkton, and Armstrong.

Special recognition also goes out to our very own Scott Maynard.

The class said it best in their beautiful thank you letter to Scott.

“We want to thank you for the incredible leadership, wisdom, and guidance you have so generously shared with our class. We cannot thank you enough for giving us one of the most valuable things anyone can offer - the gift of your time. Your willingness to pour into us, challenge us, encourage us, and share your experiences has made a lasting impact on each of us.

Through the journey, you have shown us that leadership is about so much more than a title.

This morning, we helped celebrate a special groundbreaking ceremony for HorsePlay Therapy Center.

HorsePlay’s new home at CR 214 and 13A will expand its work serving veterans living with PTSD and life-altering injuries, along with children with special needs, through healing, hope, restoration and transformation.

During the ceremony, we paused for a moment of silence to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and to remember the lives lost and reflect on the millions who responded. That spirit of service was at the heart of today’s celebration.

We’re proud to celebrate this milestone and the people who continue to serve our community and our country. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Labor Day Closure

The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce office and Visitor Information Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We’ll reopen Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m.

One week away! The Denim & Diamonds Gala supporting the St. Johns County Chamber Foundation is almost here, and it's already going to be bigger than last year.

This year's live auction includes a Jacksonville Jaguars gameday package with a Travis Hunter signed jersey, a behind-the-scenes TPC Sawgrass experience before THE PLAYERS Championship, and trips to Italy and the Caribbean.
