Augustine, Florida, is a family-run nation-wide education business providing brief evidence-based multi-health behavior youth, young adult and adult programs,

parent training programs and multi-media campaigns for improving the mental and physical wellness of individuals and communities. PPW's "whole-health" programs address multiple co-occurring health risks in single interventions addressing alcohol, marijuana, e-cigarette, or opioid and fentanyl use, as well as physical inactivity, poor nutrition, lack of sleep and daily stress. Our one-session Screening and Brief Interventions (SBIs), including Screening, Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) programs, are a perfect solution to providing effective prevention in busy schools, organizations, clinics, and communities, as well as a cost-effective strategy for motivating youths’ healthy habit and identity development through built-in multi-behavior goal setting and monitoring. PPW program manuals include easy-to-follow scripted protocols to provide to youth and adults individually and in groups. Online and paper pretest and posttest and instructor's surveys allow providers to monitor program fidelity and effectiveness and online self-paced program implementer courses permit practitioner training at their convenience.

SPORT PPW Program & Training License Partnerships

Prevention Plus Wellness (PPW) is offering a free 6-month (fall semester) Unlimited SPORT PPW Alcohol/Drug Program & Training License to one or more partnering organizations that agree to collect online pretest, posttest and end-of-semester posttest surveys evaluating program outcomes.

A full-year license extension is available if the organization collects end-of-semester posttest surveys from a comparison group or school not receiving the SPORT PPW Program.

Physical Exercise Reduces Mental Disorders Among Students

A nationwide study published in PLOS (2026) examined the role of physical exercise in protecting college students from mental health problems.

The study found that regular physical exercise was prospectively associated with a lower likelihood of depression and anxiety among students in higher education.

The authors concluded that the data suggest the need to promote attainable and sustainable activity patterns over high intensity workouts.

These results add to the growing body of research indicating the importance of prevention and mental health professionals proactively providing programs which motivate young people to participate in regular physical activity to prevent mental health problems.

3-Year All-Inclusive County-Wide License

Includes county-wide access for three years to the elementary, middle school, and high school versions of:

• Opioid Prevention Plus Wellness

Cash Stipends for SPORT PPW Program Implementers This Fall

Prevention Plus Wellness (PPW) is providing cash stipends to selected prevention professionals this fall, 2026 who implement SPORT PPW and administer a brief end-of-semester online posttest survey.

Cash stipends will also be offered to teachers not implementing SPORT PPW but who just administer the brief online posttest survey to adolescents within the same school(s) or nearby school(s) receiving SPORT PPW.

Stipends will range from $50-$100 per person.

Eligibility requirements include:

• A minimum of 200 students receiving SPORT PPW and completing the end-of-semester posttest survey.
• Students must complete a brief online pretest and posttest immediately after the SPORT PPW program lesson.
• Program implementers must have successfully completed a SPORT PPW program implementer training.
