Rotaract Club of St Augustine Campus

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of St Augustine, the St Augustine Campus Rotaract Club formed at SJR State in 2016. Rotaract bring together students to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills and have fun through service. Our members participate in many community service opportunities including sponsoring a Webster School Carnival book booth, visiting the Clyde Lassen Veterans home on Veterans Day, participating in Vikings FALL/SPRING into service opportunities, the Marine Corp Toys for Tots collection, the St Augustine ALS Walk, operation Gratitude letters to soldiers deployed from home and any other service idea that members present for the club to consider. The Rotaract Club also raises funds for local and international causes, like the 2018 Hurricane Dorian Relief effort in the Bahamas and the Betty Griffin Shelter in St Augustine. Professional Development is also a goal of our club and we try to schedule at least two students per week to attend the Rotary Club of St Augustine’s weekly meetings on Mondays. Members are solicited at Fall/Spring Club Rush but are welcomed anytime. We meet biweekly during the Fall and Spring Semesters and hold our planning meeting for the year during the Summer Semester. We end all our meetings with the Rotaract motto: “Service Above Self.”
