It’s Meet the Team Tuesday! Today, we’d like for you to meet Brett Swearingen, Residential Valuation Team Leader. We’re grateful to have Brett on our team! 🌟

Brett has been with the St. Johns County Property Appraiser’s Office for 5 years. In his current role, he is responsible for valuing residential properties in the City of St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach areas as well as overseeing and supporting a team of four Residential Valuation Specialists.

What Brett likes most about his job here at the office is his coworkers, who create a pleasant working environment and provide a great support system.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with his family, watching his kids participate in sports and activities, cooking with his daughter, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Last week, Ron, our team’s IT Developer/Programmer, presented at the Florida Chapter IAAO Annual Conference in Orlando. His session, Unlock the Math Behind Comps: The Similarity Index, highlighted his work in developing a comparable sales analysis using statistical algorithms, which our office uses to streamline the valuation process.
