Where in the World is Meep?

For World Mosquito Day, Meep is getting a behind-the-scenes look at mosquito control right here in St. Johns County!

As part of the American Mosquito Control Association’s (AMCA) World Mosquito Day initiative, Meep is traveling along to highlight what mosquito control looks like in communities around the world.

Mosquito control takes a team. From surveillance and field operations to science, education, and aviation, AMCD staff work together to monitor mosquito populations, identify potential disease risks, respond to mosquito activity, and determine when and where control efforts are needed.

Follow Meep through our video for a glimpse at some of the people, tools, and science behind the work we do every day. And keep your eyes open. We’ve hidden Meep throughout the video. How many times can you spot Meep?

Want to continue the search? Visit the Disease Vector Education Center on World Mosquito Day for our Meep Scavenger Hunt and stop by for a photo with Meep!
