Mondays with the Mayor โ€“ Spotlight on St. Johns Law Group in Sea Grove

This week on Mondays with the Mayor, Mayor Beth Sweeny visited St. Johns Law Group in Sea Grove and sat down with owner Doug Burnett to learn more about the firm and its long-standing presence in St. Augustine Beach.

Since opening in 2009 and relocating to its Sea Grove location in 2015, St. Johns Law Group has continued to grow, expanding from five lawyers to a team of fourteen lawyers. The firm recently completed an addition to its building, reflecting both its success and the continued growth of our community.

Doug shared his appreciation for calling St. Augustine Beach home, noting that many of the firm's lawyers and staff live locally. He also reflected on his time serving as the City Attorney for St. Augustine Beach, highlighting his long connection to our city.

Thank you to Doug Burnett and St. Johns Law Group for being part of the St. Augustine Beach business community and for joining us on this week's Mondays with the Mayor.

Recent rainfall has allowed the countywide burn ban to expire. While conditions have improved, St. Johns County remains in a severe drought and fire danger remains high.

Please use caution with campfires, debris burning, fire pits, grilling, and any activity involving open flames.

Even small fires can spread quickly during dry and windy conditions.

๐Ÿก Mondays with the Mayor: Sea Colony

This week, Mayor Beth Sweeny visited the beautiful Sea Colony community and sat down with HOA President Greg Hammond to learn more about what makes this neighborhood so special.

With approximately 220 homes and a charming Key West coastal feel, Sea Colony is more than just a beachfront communityโ€”it's a neighborhood built on service, connection, and volunteerism. Greg shared how residents actively support local food drives, shelters, educational programs, and numerous community organizations throughout St. Augustine Beach and beyond.

From neighbors gathering on their front porches to community events at the clubhouse and pool, Sea Colony embodies the welcoming spirit that makes St. Augustine Beach such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

Thank you to Greg Hammond for sharing the story of Sea Colony and highlighting the many residents who give back to our community every day.
