With Luke O'Connell stepping down as a Trustee of the Village, Lyndsey O'Connell, Luke wife is stepping up to takes Luke's seat as a Trustee. Lyndsey will bring a wealth of knowledge to the board. Lyndsey is a life long resident of St Anne, having attended both St Anne Grade School and High School. Lyndsey is also a business owner of Premium Specialties, in Bradley, IL. Lyndsey and Luke have 3 boys who attend the Grade School and High School. The Village Board wishes to thank Lyndsey for taking on this roll and wishing her the best going foward in these exciting times for the Village.

After serving as a Trustee on the Village Board for 13 years, Luke O'Connell is stepping down. Luke has been a driving force through the years in helping direct the Village on many of our projects. Including all 4 phases of our Water Project, our electronic signage, Establishing the TIF District, etc. However, Luke is the man behind all the wonderful improvements at Grubbs Ponds. Years ago, Luke took the lead in identifying an untapped Jem in the Village and wanted to make it something special. He certainly has done that. The Village Board wishes Luke the best and are very grateful for his service to our community.

The Village is in the process of restoring the old Tone Theater. We are looking for any pictures of the original front of the building. If you have a picture please post it or send it to me, David O'Connell.

To the residents of St Anne. We are currently working on adding a paved trail all the way around the ponds at Grubbs Park. This process will take a couple of days. In the meantime the trail will be closed to all golf carts, UTVs, etc until we have completed this project. Hopefully, we'll be done in a couple of days. Yesterday evening, someone ignored the barricades and decided to drive on the path. We can't have this! Please allow us time to complete the project so everyone can enjoy the new path.

To the residents of St Anne, unfortunately we had to shut down Dollar General this afternoon. The building has no working HVAC and the employees are working in 90 degree temperatures with very little air movement. DG management has been aware of this situation for a couple weeks and has yet to address the situation. Therefore, they have forced us to close the store until they do the right thing, and fix the A/C. We will not allow DG to be running a sweat shop in our Village. I'm sorry if this inconveniences anyone.

To celebrate our Countries 250th birthday, we will be having Fireworks on Sunday July 5th at the Village Park, at dusk. Please spread the word.
