Pattonville School District Pattonville is a school district recognized locally and nationally for academic achievement and home to a caring, professional staff and involved community.

In Pattonville, we put students first in everything we do. We believe in every child, and we care about each child's dreams for the future. Because of that, we offer programs and services that challenge, inspire and motivate students to do their very best. Our goal is the success of every child entrusted to our care. The Pattonville School District is an award-winning public school district serving students in preschool through 12th grade in St. Louis County. The district serves approximately 5,500 students in kindergarten through 12th grade in the communities of Bridgeton, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, St. Ann and unincorporated St. Preschool classes are also offered in most elementary schools and at the Pattonville Learning Center. Pattonville is home to one high school, two middle schools, a K-8 school of choice, and five elementary schools. Pattonville is fully accredited by the state and earned Missouri’s Distinction in Performance Award for academic achievement every year it was bestowed. Pattonville was also recognized by U.S. News and World Report as having one of the top high schools in Missouri and the nation and also by Niche.com as being among the top public school districts in the U.S. The district is centrally located at the crossroads of two major interstate highways (I-70 and I-270), with family-friendly neighborhoods and a variety of housing stock. A resolution recognizing Jeanne Schottmueller for her 18 years of service on the Pattonville Board of Education was read during the Sept. 8 Board of Education meeting. The resolution recognized Schottmueller for serving the Pattonville School District and community “with honor, integrity and great distinction” and for her work supporting public education in Pattonville, St. Louis County and the state of Missouri.

During her tenure, Schottmueller has been a leading force in helping Pattonville grow academically and earn numerous state and national honors. She also served on the board as the district passed three bond issues totaling $175 million for facility improvements, safety and security upgrades and new learning and activity spaces throughout the district.

As part of the resolution, the six remaining members of the Board of Education unanimously expressed their “appreciation and admiration” for Schottmueller by naming the existing Pattonville High School stadium “Schottmueller Stadium” in her honor. Schottmueller will officially step down from the board on April 13, 2027, after 18 years of service.

Congratulations to Pattonville High School senior Willow Harpole on being named a semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Harpole is among more than 16,000 high school seniors nationwide to earn the recognition, representing less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors. More than 1.2 million students entered the competition by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Harpole now has the opportunity to advance to finalist standing and compete for one of about 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $24 million that will be awarded in the spring.

Superintendent Dr. Barry Nelson stopped by Willow Brook Elementary School to meet some of our newest Pattonville learners, but first, the kindergartners had questions: “Who are you?” and “Why are you making this video?”

Then came the BIG surprise! Kindergartner A’Norra Gardner won our back-to-school maze contest and all the prizes!
