Fitness Challenge Update. Month 1 Results Are In.

As part of the battalion’s ongoing effort to improve physical readiness, accountability, and overall health, AITEC launched a unit fitness challenge focused on consistent participation and measurable effort. The challenge tracks collective performance by section, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and steady progress rather than individual competition.

The first month focused on strength and weight lifted, with sections logging workouts weekly and monthly.

The calculations are complete, and the results for our first monthly fitness challenge are official.

Happy 250th Birthday to the U.S. Army!

On June 4th, AITEC Soldiers completed a 5-mile ruck march in honor of the Army’s 250 years of service, strength, and sacrifice.

Since 1775, Soldiers have stood ready to defend our nation and uphold the Army values. This ruck was our way of honoring that legacy and showing pride in the uniform we wear today.

Always immensely proud to have one of our own represent the BN well, and complete challenges above and beyond! Congrats LT Pridemore!

I just want to brag on 2LT Pridemore of the WVARNG 3664th Maintenance Company for a moment. Not only did he complete the MRT course 13-24 May, he also ruck marched 26.2 miles in the span of time while there. I am really proud of this Soldier and wanted to share his achievement with others.

This past week, AITEC CBRNE BN had the privilege of providing training, coaching, feedback, and planning recommendations to members of the Washington National Guard serving in thr 10th Homeland Response Force and corresponding CBRN Task Force during this year’s Sustainment Year Combined Training exercise out of Camp Rilea, OR.

The Pacific Northwest gave all the rain and fog it could throw at us, but members of each unit remained flexible and diligent to find and utilize every viable moment to train and become proficient on their equipment and in their function, in order to best serve as the first response to domestic disasters.

Today SSG Codie Wingo was presented with the Army Commendation Medal for serving with AITEC CBRNE BN from May 2022-April 2024. SSG Wingo originally started out in CTB-CASE, but eventually made his way to ITB-Decon, having positive effects in both positions. Although he will be greatly missed as he and his fiancé begin the next chapter of their lives out of State, we wish them the best of luck with the rest of their life endeavors!

AITEC CBRNE BN is holding the 2nd Annual Greg Rowsey Memorial Golf Scramble on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Little Creek Golf Course, 99 Fairway Drive, South Charleston, WV 25303. See below flyers for information regarding sponsor and golfer registration as we have 12 available four-man team slots remaining and need sponsorships.

We are looking at the community for their support on sponsoring a hole. Your donations will be used to support approximately 100 Soldiers across the state of West Virginia that fall under the CBRNE Battalion. A majority of your sponsorship will go towards morale events for the Soldiers and families within the Battalion. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a sports program in the honor of James “Gregory” Rowsey.

Your hole sponsorship will be shown by having a sign displayed on the tee box with your name or business name on the day of the scramble.

The 1st Annual Greg Rowsey Memorial Golf Scramble was a huge success last year thanks to all the sponsors, donations, golfers, and volunteers. With your help, this fundraiser can be a huge success too!

This past weekend, AITEC CBRNE BN provided sustainment year evaluation and feedback to the Colorado National Guard CERFP in bright and beautiful Denver, CO. In partnership with the team on ground and the South Metro Fire Rescue, our OC/T teams were able provide critical training and feedback to the relatively new team through a weekend of highly productive team exercises and set them on a glide path for a successful External Evaluation next year!

It was one of our first times working directly with local emergency response en-force to put to the test our Incident Command System for the most rigor and realistic training to the teams! Can’t wait to return soon!

This week, Mission Assurance and Cyber experts from AITEC were privileged to participate as guest speakers for the Appalachian Institute of Digital Evidence (AIDE) Conference hosted by Marshall University Institute for Cyber Security.

During an emergency response is no time to exchange business cards as the safety of our families are at stake. Networking and information sharing opportunities like the AIDE conference ensures this is never the case. Information Security expert CPT William Pauley and his daughter Stella exemplifies the One Guard Family and reason our organization is so passionate about what we do!
