35th Civil Support Team - WMD

Today, the 35th Civil Support Team held a Change of Command ceremony in which MAJ Ryan Schwartz relinquished command to MAJ Timothy Casto.

The Change of Command ceremony is a time-honored military tradition that represents the orderly transfer of authority and responsibility from one commander to another. This ceremony preserves the continuity of command and reinforces the authority of the incoming Commander.

We extend our sincere appreciation to MAJ Schwartz for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to the Soldiers, families, and mission of the 35th CST. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the organization.

We warmly welcome MAJ Casto, former 35th CST Deputy Commander, as he assumes command and look forward to his leadership as the unit continues to uphold the highest standards of excellence and readiness.

Please join us in thanking MAJ Schwartz for his service and in congratulating MAJ Casto on this significant occasion. 👏👏

What a great day of training with our counterparts from Ohio’s 52nd Civil Support Team and our training and evaluation partners from U. S. Army North (Fifth Army) Civil Support Training activity (CSTA). We worked through a series of tough, realistic scenarios to sharpen our skills and ensure we are ready, always ready!

A key feature of the overall accreditation effort is our monthly analytical proficiency testing program, developed specifically for the WMD-CSTs. The program, conducted under Signature Science’s ISO provider accreditation, tests our operators on the full suite of ALS analytical capabilities and are included in the biennial American Associated for Laboratory Accreditation inspection process (happening now!)
