According to local Owner/Operators Lupita and Andres Romo, bringing a Chick-fil-A restaurant to a new community requires demonstrating sustained customer demand and long-term business viability. While many residents already travel to neighboring communities to visit Chick-fil-A, corporate site selection decisions rely on data that shows continued interest from local customers.

That's why the Romos have been working to build a business case that highlights the strong support they believe exists throughout Sahuarita and Green Valley. Their goal is to show Chick-fil-A's corporate leadership that residents are ready to support a restaurant location closer to home.

Over the years, the Romos have developed strong relationships throughout the community by supporting local schools, student programs, educators, athletes, and families. Now, they hope those community connections can help demonstrate the area's potential for a future Chick-fil-A location.

One opportunity to participate is the Chick-fil-A Pop-Up Drive-Thru on Thursday, June 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sahuarita Town Hall. While the event is not a guarantee of a future restaurant, participation helps provide valuable insight into local interest and demand.

Next week council will be discussing the intent to impose or increase Parks and Recreation fees. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at Town Hall starting at 6 PM. During this agenda there will be an opening for public comment.
