đź’ˇ Did you know that some of the most important responders in a disaster are trained community volunteers?

CERT members learn valuable skills that help them support their families, neighbors, and first responders when emergencies happen.

Interested in learning more about the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program and how volunteers help build stronger, more resilient communities?

Together, we can make our community safer, stronger, and better prepared for whatever comes our way.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live.

Prepare for hurricane season by knowing how to understand forecasts. They can tell you a lot about what is expected, including the storm’s paths, rainfall amounts, wind speeds, and more. There is a lot of information available days ahead of a storm, and it is important to understand what it means. noaa.gov/understand-forecast-information

BOIL WATER NOTICE UPDATE – MAY 2, 2026

As of 2:15 PM, the boil water notice for the City of Saginaw has been lifted. Water is now safe for normal use, including drinking, cooking, and bathing.

Out of an abundance of caution, residents may choose to flush household plumbing by running faucets for a few minutes and discarding any ice made during the notice period.

Water distribution behind Saginaw City Hall will be ending at this time.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this situation.

---

On May 1, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Saginaw public water system (TX 2200023) to issue a boil water notice to inform customers, individuals, and employees that, due to conditions that occurred in the public water system, the water was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking or human consumption.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed for drinking and human consumption and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling as of May 2, 2026.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Ronnie Martinez at (817) 230-0553 or Jarred Coursey at (817) 230-0449, or call (817) 232-4640. You may also visit 333 W McLeroy Blvd, Saginaw, TX 76179.

🚨 Community in Action – NWT CERT 🚨
Today, our CERT members were on the ground assisting with water distribution following the recent water main break and boil water notice in Saginaw.
From unloading pallets to helping get cases of water into the hands of residents, our volunteers stepped up to support the community during a challenging time. đź’§
Situations like this are exactly why CERT exists — neighbors helping neighbors, working alongside local partners to make sure everyone has what they need.
👏 Huge thank you to all the volunteers and responders who showed up and put in the work today.
