The Meet Up and Eat Up program in Michigan provides free meals to children during the summer months, ensuring they have access to nutritious food when school is not in session.
The Meet Up and Eat Up program is a vital initiative aimed at combating child hunger during the summer months when school meals are not available. It is supported by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and various local partners, providing meals to children aged 18 and under at numerous sites across the state. What a legacy.
Heritage graduate Evangeline Lisik has officially closed the chapter on an extraordinary high school wrestling career, finishing her senior season with an 8th-place finish at the MHSAA State Tournament after placing 5th in the state last year.

Evangeline leaves Heritage as a two-time All-State wrestler, the first female state placer in Heritage wrestling history, and the first Heritage wrestler in 20 years to earn All-State honors. Through countless hours of hard work, determination, and grit, she helped pave the way for future generations of wrestlers and showed what is possible when passion meets perseverance.

She competed with heart, represented Heritage with pride, and inspired teammates, coaches, classmates, and our entire school community along the way. She is pictured below with her coach.

Records may eventually be broken, but being the first is forever.
Thank you, Evangeline, for the example you've set and the history you've made. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful for everything you've brought to Heritage Wrestling.

Summer may be here, but learning never stops!
Our administrative team is spending part of the summer sharpening their leadership skills through Dale Carnegie Leadership Training, made possible by a grant-funded program. We are grateful for this opportunity to invest in our leaders so they can continue supporting our students, staff, and school community at the highest level.

Parent Councils: Supporting Our School Community
The White Pine Parent Council (WPPC) proudly supports the students and staff at White Pine Middle School. Thanks to our Hawk families, community supporters and volunteers, we are able to fund programs and opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. We are excited to share some of the ways WPPC has supported White Pine this year:
-Provided financial support for W.E.B. Leaders (incoming 6th graders will meet these students at orientation!)
-Gave each student a lanyard for their White Pine ID. These were passed out on picture day.
-Supplied t-shirts for intramural sports participants
-Funding for the White Pine float in the Homecoming Parade
-Helped a teacher create a more welcoming, relaxed classroom environment for their students
-Covered transportation costs for 8th grade Studio Art students to visit the Saginaw Art Museum, SVSU Art Department, and the Marshall Fredericks Museum
-Purchased multiple copies of books so all 8th graders could participate in Reading March Madness
-Provided incentives for Math Enrichment students
-Funded materials for a life skills unit, including non-stove cooking, in an EI classroom
-Purchased a class set of history books to support student engagement
-Supplied lap desks, scripts, and musical units for 6th grade drama and performing arts programs
-Funded supplies to build stage cubes, supporting Drama Club, Play Production, Drama classes, and Forensics
-Donated funds so all students can bring books home to read over the summer
-Hosted a Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, including a luncheon
Our White Pine students are doing amazing things, and we are grateful to support both students and staff throughout the school year.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our fundraisers and purchased items in the White Pine School Store —your support makes all of this possible!

As part of our ongoing requirements with the Saginaw Area Storm Water Authority, here is information regarding the proper application and disposal of pesticides and fertilizers.

Pesticides and fertilizers when used properly can protect your plants or home from damage. They may also have negative environmental impacts when they get into waterways. Using fertilizers correctly means providing the right nutrients in the right amounts, at the right time, and in the right place t

Check out the incredible craftsmanship from this year's Heritage High woodworking and welding students! From designing the precision welding projects to drawing plans for beautifully crafted woodwork, these students have showcased their creativity and skill.
STCS is proud to offer these courses that give students the opportunity to explore skilled trades, build real-world experience, and discover future career pathways.

To every STCS teacher walking out of the classroom for the final time: Many of you are locking the classroom door, not just for the summer, but for good. Some of you are retiring after decades of shaping lives, others are stepping into new dreams, caring for family or answering a different call. Wherever you're headed, we just want to say thank you.
Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the personal sacrifices. Thank you for creating a safe place for students, being a mentor, a cheerleader, and for teaching way more than what was in the curriculum like resilience, respect, empathy and effort. Your impression is all over the future in ways you'll never fully see.
So, as you walk out of your building one last time, know this...
You made a difference.
Here's to your next chapter with deep gratitude and all our best.
