Today’s the day! 🎃 Boo Bash kicks off at 11:00 AM at 901 North Water St. in downtown Bay City, and we’d love to see you there!

CAN Council and Studio 23/The Arts Center are teaming up to bring families goodie bags, art projects, and a scavenger hunt, plus on-site support from our Rolling Family Resource Center. It’s free to attend, and costumes are encouraged, so plan a stop while you’re trick-or-treating downtown. We’ll be there until 2:00 PM. Come say hi! 👻

Babysitter Bootcamp has hit another exciting milestone. We’re now officially offering a nationally certified program through the Health & Safety Institute (HSI).🎉Behind this big step is our Prevention Education team, who each earned their HSI instructor certification in CPR, Pediatric First Aid, and Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS).

Thanks to their hard work, Babysitter Bootcamp participants can now earn a nationally recognized certification while learning from a team that knows child protection and prevention inside and out.

It’s a win for young sitters building their confidence, and a win for the families who trust them with their kids. Please join us in congratulating our Prevention Education team on this accomplishment!💙

We are so grateful for CAN Council and the support they provide to parents and families in our community. This 10-week course is designed to encourage, equip, and strengthen parents—and we’re excited to be a part of it!

Wednesdays call for a YPN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT! 🌟

We want to highlight YPs who make our organization successful, and today we are highlighting Ryan Landrey!

When did you join the YPN & why?
I joined when I first started with CAN Council a few years ago, like most, it was to get more connected. I really wanted to get to know people around my age that cared so deeply about their community as well as immerse myself in a community that I grew up in and was away from for so long.

What is your favorite YPN event?
The Halloween Event – love seeing all the fun costumes!

What is one thing you hope to gain from the YPN?
One thing I hope to gain from the YPN is new connections. Sometimes walking into a space with tons of new people can feel intimidating. But everyone is welcoming and wants to get to know you to where you feel like you’ve been apart of the group for a long time. It’s a great feeling!

What is one thing you are passionate about, and why?
One thing I am passionate about is helping people, whether that is in my job with children or families, or with people in my community. I love to teach, and seeing someone work through something or just need a space vent is what makes me feel like I am making a true impact.

We’re glad to have Ryan as part of the Saginaw YPN and look forward to seeing his continued impact in the community!

Thank you, Duperon Corporation, for shining a light on this important moment for Michigan’s children and families. These four new laws strengthen Children Trust Michigan and the prevention work happening in communities across the state, including right here in Arenac, Bay, Huron, and Saginaw counties. We’re proud to be a local prevention partner and grateful to everyone who helped move this legislation forward. 💙

Coming together to make a difference for Michigan’s children and families.

Duperon Corporation recognizes the bipartisan effort behind four bills signed into law to strengthen Children Trust Michigan and its mission to prevent child abuse and neglect.

This legislation helps Children Trust Michigan expand its reach, strengthen prevention efforts, and put support in place for families before they reach a crisis.

Thank you to Governor Gretchen Whitmer for signing this important legislation into law, to Senator Kevin Hertel and Senator John Cherry and Bryan Posthumus - State Representative for sponsoring the bills, and to Senator Kevin Daley and Senator Sam Singh for helping move them forward. We also acknowledge the Michigan lawmakers from both parties who came together to advance this important effort.

We recognize the leadership and commitment of Amy Tattrie Loepp, Past Chair of Children Trust Michigan; Jason Griffin, Current Chair; Suzanne Greenberg, Executive Director; and Tammy Bernier, Chair of the Strategy Committee, in advancing this mission.
