🚨🚔**Community Awareness Notice**🚔🚨

We are aware of reports of swatting calls in a nearby community today, including the Alma area.

At this time, we want our community to know that the Saginaw Township Police Department and the Crime Prevention Unit are aware of the situation and remain in communication with our public safety and school partners.

Swatting calls are false emergency reports designed to create fear, draw a large police response, and disrupt schools, families, and communities. These calls are not harmless pranks. They put students, staff, officers, dispatchers, and the public at risk, and they pull emergency resources away from people who may truly need help.

We know these types of incidents can be upsetting for parents, students, and school staff. Please know that we take every threat seriously, and we will continue to respond appropriately, share information when we can, and work with our partners to keep our community safe.

As always, if you see or hear something concerning, please report it. Do not share rumors or unverified information online.

Powerful partnerships. Precision intelligence. Proactive prevention.

Please, don’t do crime.
