Hello, for those of you receiving emails about FHLBI Home Repair Grants offered through Compassionate Care Network:

If you have been awarded one in the past 5 years (determined by the date your project was completed), you are not eligible for another until 5 years have passed.

Even if you were awarded one last year, I send you an email in case you have family members or friends that would like to apply. You would not be eligible again until the 5 years passed.

If you are interested in applying for a 2026 Home Repair Grant, please fill out a Subscribe form found at the bottom of any page on our website, CCNINC.ORG. This will provide us with your name, email address, and phone number. The email address you provide will be used to communicate with you during the Home Repair Grant process.

IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE AND SUBSCRIBE. THERE ARE SEVERAL PEOPLE ON OUR LIST THAT WERE REJECTED BECAUSE OF BAD EMAIL ADDRESSES OR MAILBOXES BEING FULL.

ANY PEOPLE WHO SUBSCRIBE ON OR AFTER APRIL 27TH WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL AS WE ADD YOU TO OUR DATABASE LIST.

Please review the 2026 Presentation link under “GRANTS” for information to see if you are eligible to apply for a grant, what forms are needed, etc.

1) GO THROUGH THE PRESENTATION - READ IT! ALL THE WAY TO THE END! IT IS ALWAYS APPARENT WHICH CALLERS HAVE READ IT AND WHICH ONES HAVEN’T
2) READ THE DESCRIPTIONS NEXT TO THE FORMS
3) THE APPLICATION CHECKLIST IS YOUR FRIEND. IT WILL WALK YOU THROUGH EACH SECTION SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE APPLICATION.

We are now accepting your application packages. You can either email it to this address, [email protected], OR put everything in a large envelope with your name, phone number, and email address written on it, and drop it in our Dropbox, located to the left of the entrance of Lewis Temple Church, 3300 Hess Ave.

The money will become available starting Thursday, May 28th.
That means you have over 4 weeks between April 27th and May 28th to:
fill out your forms, pay the $150 application fee, gather your supporting documents, including your photos, turn them in to us for review, and get your application declared COMPLETE for input by Thursday, May 28th when the money starts flowing!
First come, first served! DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!!
WHEN THE MONEY IS GONE, IT’S GONE!!

We have started making changes on our website for the 2026 Revive Home Repair Grant program. Some links under the GRANT heading will require a password until we get them completed and tested. (Sorry, we will not share the password! 🚫) Our target date for completion is sometime around April 17 - 20th. We will send out an email blast with complete instructions to all who have signed up using our Subscribe form.

If you would like to be notified about the process for this year (and future years), please go to our website at www.ccninc.org and at the bottom of any page, fill out the form to Subscribe, giving us your name, email address, and phone number. We will add you to our email database and send out information about the program when it is ready.

Please DO NOT EXPECT an immediate response after filling out the form! Some of you enter your information several times in a row, thinking that it didn't "take" the first time. [The definition of insanity "is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results each time".] 😁 We don't have enough time to figure out how to automatically send an email or message back to you after filling out the form. 🤷‍♂️ We collect that information throughout the year and use it when the Grant season rolls around.

+Announcement about 2025 Revive Home Repair Grant Process+

For 2025, we started accepting applications for the Revive Home Repair Grant process on April 21st, 2025.

We had an overwhelming response and stopped accepting applications and processing fees on May 6th.

The funding from Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI) was exhausted on July 2nd.

The key to getting your application processed is to send us a COMPLETE application, including contractor estimates, and paying the processing fee. We hold your application until we see that you have paid the fee. This is necessary because of all the work and time necessary to process your application.

The key to sending us a COMPLETE application is to attend the Roll-Out meeting and follow the instructions. We provide you with a checklist for the application documents.

The key to sending us contractor estimates on time is to start early before the contractors go into full swing with their work. They must be licensed and insured. They need to format the estimate so each type of work has a dollar value, with a total at the end. AND the work being done must be approved by FHLBI per their repair list. In 2025 there were requests for repairs (full bathroom modifications, structural repairs to foundations and joists, etc.) that were only offered in 2024.

Effective 4/1/2025, HUD has released the new Income Limit table used for applying for the Home Repair Grant. If you made too much money previously, please check to see if you now are eligible. All income limits went up for 2025.
