‼️Update on Albee Township Shooting‼️

On July 15, 2026 33 year old Devin Lee Rieger was arraigned in the 70th District Court, Saginaw County. Rieger was charged by the Saginaw County Prosecutors Office with Assault with Intent to Murder and Weapons/Felony Firearm. Rieger is due back in court on July 30th for a preliminary examination. He remains lodged in the Saginaw County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.

🚨Media Release🚨

❗️Shooting Investigation❗️

On July 12,2026 at approximately 5:35pm Deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of Sheridan Rd for a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival a 33 year old male was found to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The male was taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery for his injuries. During the investigation a 33 year old male was taken into custody. He is currently lodged at the Saginaw County Jail pending arraignment.

The Saginaw County Sheriff's Office and Saginaw County Circuit Court are warning residents about jury duty scam calls.

If you receive a call claiming you missed jury duty and demanding payment or threatening arrest, hang up.

The Circuit Court and Sheriff's Office will never demand payment over the phone. If you're unsure, contact the Saginaw County Circuit Court or Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office directly.

Sgt. North had the opportunity to speak with the NEST Youth Workforce Program at The Neighb about drone technology. Everyone learned about drone safety, how drones work, the basics of flying them, and the many ways they are used by the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office to support public safety and serve our community.

Thank you to The Neighb and the NEST Youth Workforce Program for inviting Sgt. North to share this valuable hands-on learning experience with the next generation!
