🌊 Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team Summer Recap 🌊

Our all-volunteer Dive Team had a busy and productive summer, responding to search assignments, providing mutual-aid support to our SE Dive Group partners, and staying ready to answer the call when needed.

Our team also enjoyed connecting with the community at Consumers Energy Family Day and National Night Out.

Behind the scenes, summer training strengthened our teamwork, search skills, and vessel operations. Now, we’re taking that training into the black-water conditions of the Saginaw River, focusing on depth and zero-visibility environments to ensure our divers remain calm, confident, and mission-ready.

Proud of our volunteers and their commitment to serving Saginaw County and our surrounding communities. 🤿🖤💛

A BIG thank you to our friends at the Saginaw YMCA for the kind words!

When their Y Bus had an unexpected issue during one of their final Mission Nutrition deliveries, Undersheriff Gomez stepped up and offered the use of a Sheriff’s Office Tahoe, along with a helping hand from our intern, Antonio. Together, they made sure meals still reached the kids at VFW Post 7302 in Hemlock.

We’re proud to support organizations that are making a difference in our community - and grateful for opportunities like this to serve alongside great community partners!

This is also our last week with our intern Antonio before he heads off to college next week! We’ve enjoyed having him on the team and appreciate all his hard work. We wish him the very best as he begins this next chapter! 🎓
