✨ Membership Spotlight ✨

Join us in celebrating Cheryl Currie for the outstanding ex*****on of her Passion Project - the Ladies in Leadership Brunch! 🌸

After presenting her vision at our January General Membership Meeting and gaining the support of the League Members Cheryl got to work - reserving an event space, carefully selecting a menu, and coordinating volunteers to bring her idea to life. Within a matter of a couple months, her vision was transformed into a meaningful and impactful experience for the women of the communities we serve and beyond!

Through Cheryl’s vision and dedication, she created an inspiring day full of connection, growth and meaningful dialogue as we began to reimagine a life free from role strain, role conflict, and burnout while creating space for women to reclaim their well-being.

Thank you, Cheryl, for your leadership, passion, drive, and incredible impact - we’re so proud to have you as part of our League! 💙

A small reminder for today: giving yourself care isn’t selfish, it’s necessary. 💛

In a world that often asks us to be everything to everyone, it’s easy to put our own needs last. But rest, boundaries, and moments of stillness aren’t luxuries—they’re essential to showing up fully in our lives.

Take a breath. Pause when you need to. Say no without guilt. Choose what restores you.

You deserve the same care and compassion that you so freely give to others. ✨

Today’s reminder: strong doesn’t mean never tired.

For many women, the exhaustion runs deeper than it looks. From household responsibilities to managing family schedules, women often find themselves trying to manage both the physical and mental load. That constant juggling requires strength, but it also takes a toll.

The Junior League of the Great Lakes Bay Region is proud to join the revolutionary Every Woman. All Things. campaign created by the Association of Junior Leagues International to restore balance, reclaim well-being, and reimagine a life where role strain, role conflict, and burnout are no longer the cost of being everything to everyone.

Through Every Woman. All Things., we’re acknowledging the many roles women navigate - as professionals, caregivers, partners, volunteers, leaders, and more - and the importance of making space for rest, balance, and shared responsibility.

Which is exactly why we’re hosting our upcoming Ladies in Leadership brunch featuring distinguished speakers who will help us challenge the long-held belief that women must sacrifice balance and personal well-being to succeed in leadership, work, and service – and explore how mentorship, advocacy, health boundaries, and intentional rest can create lasting change for individuals and communities.
