A wonderful message from a grateful volunteer who recently had a birthday🎂 ...

"I Just wanted to say thank you for the mailed birthday card from the mission. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting that, but it really touched my heart. You go out of your way to send volunteers birthday cards, and that is so kind. It blessed my day; thank you so much!

It’s such an honor getting to host chapel. Sometimes I think I’m blessed way more than the people who come and attend. Your guests are beautiful people and it brings me so much joy to share Jesus with them."💜👏

"TRANSITIONAL YEAR" Graduate, Teasia W.

👉In early 2025, Teasia moved out of City Rescue Mission in Saginaw through the Impact Designs program. She found a home with the potential of "renting to own." Her move was decorated by designers, Melody and Becca, and her monthly Impact Aftercare Advocate was Kadie P. who tells part of Teasia's story in her own words.

"When I met with Teasia initially,, she explained how she became homeless. A mixture of severe health problems caused her inability to work, and she found herself without a home. Originally, she was stuck on the sofa because of all the tubes she was connected to. Over the past year, her health has improved so drastically that she does Tae Bo and is exercising regularly! No more tubes and her health is well-managed."💟

In addition to that, some of the goals Teasia has accomplished this past year include starting part-time employment, owning a vehicle, starting to make payments toward home ownership, and being healthy enough to stick around for her 4 kids and several grandchildren❗

In fact, 3 of her grandkids come visit from Mississippi for the WHOLE SUMMER and just arrived in town this week🥰. Teasia was even gifted a 15' pool so her grandkids could safely escape the gun-violence in the area and play in the backyard. They are already having a blast!! Teasia gives GOD ALL THE CREDIT for her obedience and blessings.

❗😊During our 2026 Hope & Care Tote campaign, Judy contacted us to say she would like to SEW totes for the guests so that they could be reused. She had extra fabric stored away and wanted to make good use of them. We love 💜how our volunteers come up with creative ways to help us while operating in their spiritual gifts. A big thank you to the David and Judy for their support and donation 👏!

🙏We are thankful once again to another organization, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.-Zeta Omega Zeta Chapter, for supporting the Rescue Ministries 2026 Hope & Care drive by collecting toiletry items. These items help provide dignity and essential care for individuals and families in need💟.

This Sorority has been serving the Tri-City Area for more than 50 years👏. Rescue Ministries truly appreciates the support that this organization, as well as others in the community, provide to the hurting and the homeless in our community🥰.

👉With more than 600 hours logged in the last 6 months from the Good Samaritan Donation and Sorting Room Volunteer Team, we know how vital our volunteers are❗ This group is made up of volunteers who have served the mission from as few as 2 months to as many as 15 years, and they all know how to get the job done! We are truly thankful🙏 for their giving hearts while they sort through donations, stock the clothing room shelves, and ensure that the mission guests have access to basic necessities. Rescue Mission Volunteers are the best🥰‼

👉The Boys and Girls Club of Essexville completed a service project by making tie blankets to donate to local agencies. We are so thankful that Good Samaritan was one of the recipients of the love 💜 these students put in to this crafty venture❗

Rescue Ministries staff member, Jill, was invited, along with the other agency representatives, to talk to the students about how our services benefit the hurting and homeless in our community 🙏. What a joy to see the interest these students have to serve others.

Way to go Essexville Boys and Girls club! Thank you to the students and staff that made this donation possible 👏‼
