October 8th - Wandell School!!

🚔 Saddle River Police Crime Prevention Night

The Saddle River Police Department is excited to host our first-ever Crime Prevention Night!

We invite Saddle River residents to join us for an evening focused on crime prevention, scam awareness, and community safety.

📅 Thursday, October 8, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Wandell School – 96 East Allendale Road

The evening will include a presentation from the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs, crime and scam prevention information, and a Q&A with Saddle River officers and detectives.

🚗 Need your child’s car seat checked? Certified SRPD officers will be available during the event to check car seats for proper installation and complete car seat installations.

Light refreshments will be provided by Saddle River PBA Local 348.

We hope you’ll join us for our first Crime Prevention Night and help make it a great community event. Please share with your friends and neighbors!

Did you know that flooding causes more deaths in the United States than any other thunderstorm-related hazard? More than 50% of flood-related deaths are due to someone driving or walking into floodwaters.

When you come to a road covered with water, it’s difficult to tell the depth of the water or the condition of the road underneath, especially at night. Two feet of water can sweep an SUV off the road. Just six inches of fast-moving floodwater can knock you off your feet.

Play it safe - “Turn Around, Don’t Drown”.

🚧 UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE – SATURDAY, AUGUST 29, 2026 🚧

The Saddle River Police Department advises motorists to AVOID East Saddle River Road between East Allendale Road and Old Woods Road on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from approximately 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

A road closure is expected in the area of St. Gabriel’s Church, 88 East Saddle River Road.

Detours will be posted for through traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route.
