These two days are historical for women in the military. On June 11,1970 the first women were promoted to the rank brigadier general. And today June 12th we celebrate Women Recognition Day.

We’re proud to celebrate the trailblazing women whose bravery opened the doors of military service and the generations of women who have proudly walked through them ever since. Here in the legislature’s history four women have walked that path.
