The South Natomas Community Center invites applications for:
Teen Program Recreation Aide

This is a part-time seasonal position (24-30 hours per week). Under the supervision of a Human Services Program Coordinator, the Recreation Aide provides assistance with the program planning and supervision of teens in a summer program setting. The Recreation Aide is responsible for the planning and successful implementation of enrichment and recreation-based activities such as arts and crafts projects, team building games, summer activities, supervision in field trips and much more. The Summer Teen Program operates Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Programs operate from June 9th – August 1st. Trainings will be held during the last week of May and/or early June.
This is an opportunity for summer employment only.

SpeedyBall is a new, non-contact hybrid game integrating a variety of sports and their principles including: ultimate Frisbee, basketball, football, hockey and more!Participants will learn sportsmanship, teamwork, along with skills and fundamentals, bot...h through practice and gameplay. The ball is continuously advanced through the air from player to player until it touches the ground or a goal is scored. The game is fast paced, high scoring, and endurance enhancing! Register at the S. Natomas Community Center. SPACE IS LIMITED

This non-competitive league is open to 4th-6th grade boys and girls. Participants will learn sportsmanship, teamwork, along with skills and fundamentals, both through practice and gameplay. The ball is continuously advanced through the air from player to player until it touches the ground or a goal is scored. The game is fast paced, high scoring, and endurance enhancing! Register at the S. Natomas Community Center through Thursday, April 3rd, 2014.
