The Sacramento County Young Democrats pledge to pursue the ideas of liberty, justice, and freedom for all regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Our purpose is to stimulate young people to have an active interest in government & contribute to the ideals and philosophy of the Democratic Party. SCYD Members are Democrats ages 18-35 that live or work in and around Sacramento Cou
nty and build community through monthly membership meetings, happy hours, and committee meetings. Additionally, we are proud to be one of the most active chapters in California. We volunteer to walk precincts, phone bank and fundraise for candidates and issues we care about. Throughout the year, we regularly give back to the Sacramento area through frequent community service opportunities as well. In recent years, SCYD has become increasingly involved in the Sacramento County political community and we look forward to continue partnering with other Democratic clubs, Democratic public officials/candidates, and community leaders & organizations.
