🌎 Celebrating 30 Years of Cleaner Air in the Sacramento Region! 🌎

On September 9, 2026, Community Resource Project's CEO, Wilfredo Cruz, was proud to attend the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) 30-Year Anniversary celebration and recognize three decades of progress toward cleaner air and healthier communities.

Over the past 30 years, SMAQMD has played a vital role in improving air quality throughout the Capital Region. Some of their incredible milestones include:

🌿 A 30% reduction in regional air pollution over the past 25 years
🌤️ Reaching attainment of the federal 2008 ozone standard
💨 Reducing annual “Spare the Air” days from 17–20 in the mid-to-late 2010s to single digits in recent years

These accomplishments represent the power of regional collaboration, innovation, and continued investment in the health and well-being of our communities.

CRP is proud to work alongside SMAQMD on initiatives that connect residents with resources and opportunities that support healthier homes, cleaner air, and stronger communities.

Congratulations to SMAQMD and Dr. Alberto Ayala on 30 years of meaningful progress! We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together toward an even healthier future. 💚
