⌛ The deadline for DPR’s 2027 Sustainable Pest Management (SPM) Grants Program is almost here! DPR is offering up to $4.9 million in grants. Proposal applications for the 2027 SPM Grants Program will be accepted through Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT).
The annual SPM Grants Program funds projects that advance SPM practices through integrated pest management (IPM) research, knowledge, tools, and outreach in agricultural, urban, and wildland settings.
The 2027 SPM Grants Program will award proposal applications with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000. Projects must have timelines up to three years (July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2030.)
The program is particularly seeking applications that address one or more of the following priority topics:
• Alternatives for w**d management
• Alternatives for rodent management
• Alternatives for fumigants
• Projects that support the adoption of emerging technologies to further IPM or SPM
• Projects that address emerging pests and prevention strategies
• Alternatives to pesticides prioritized for mitigation or evaluation by DPR
