County leaders gathered in Kings County this week for the CSAC Regional Meeting, featuring a tour of local California High-Speed Rail construction and discussions on key regional issues.

Day Two panels explored voluntary land repurposing, water and , and achieving universal access in the San Joaquin Valley.

In-Home Supportive Services offers life saving medical care for Californians.

The Governor's May Revision threatens to shift those costs to counties.

Thank you California Senate Democrats and California Assembly Democrats for rejecting these cuts. Counties need a that protects access to care.

The need for health care, behavioral health treatment, and food assistance will not disappear because federal funding drops. The burden simply shifts downstream to counties — forcing cuts to emergency rooms, food banks, sheriff’s deputies and already-overwhelmed local systems.
