⛸️✨ Our 4th "R" students & staff had a fabulous time at The Rink today! They spent the day skating, learning new skills, building confidence, and creating wonderful memories with their peers. It was a perfect blend of education, recreation, and fun as students challenged themselves, supported one another, and enjoyed every moment on the floor. We're proud of their enthusiasm and positive spirit both on and off the rink!😊

Our hearts are full after such an incredible celebration! Thank you to everyone who came out to help us commemorate 40 years of 4th "R". We were overjoyed by the amazing turnout of current families, past families, staff, and alumni staff who joined us to recognize the lasting impact and true value that 4th "R" has brought to our community over the years.

Seeing generations of families and team members come together to share memories, laughter, and fun was a wonderful reminder of what makes 4th "R" so special. ❤️

A special thank you to Jeffrey Allen BBQ for serving up their delicious hamburgers and helping make our celebration even more memorable!

We'd love to hear from you—what was your favorite part of the event? Share your photos, memories, and highlights in the comments below!

Thank you for being part of the 4th "R" family and for helping us celebrate four decades of enriching the lives of children and families. Here's to many more years of learning, growth, and community! 🎈🎂🎊

May was full of creativity, teamwork, and imagination at Leonardo da Vinci 4th “R”!
Our kindergarten superheroes designed capes, tackled building challenges, and brought their ideas to life through play and creativity. Kids also worked together to create a special ocean-themed site banner for our upcoming staff in-service.
From art and engineering to problem-solving and friendship, our kids have been learning, creating, and having fun all month long!

This past month, Crocker's 4th "R" community service project focused on one simple but powerful theme: kindness 💛

Throughout the month, students explored creative ways to show care and appreciation for others through thoughtful discussions and hands-on activities. The children worked hard creating beautiful handmade crafts including coffee filter flowers, napkin roses, cupcake liner flowers, and kindness postcards filled with artwork and heartfelt messages.

As part of the project, they talked about how even small acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day and make a positive impact in our community.

To spread that joy, the students donated their creations to the South Natomas Community Center and Belle Cooledge Community Center, where they will be shared with seniors attending classes and programs.

We are incredibly proud of the creativity, compassion, and kindness our children demonstrated throughout this project. Their thoughtful efforts helped bring smiles and connection to others in our community 🌸💌

For 40 years, 4th “R” has been more than an after-school program, it’s been a place where children feel safe, families feel supported, and lifelong memories are made. 🫶

Here’s why families love 4th “R”:

💬 “Our kids feel safe, supported, and always learning.”

💬 “We love the homework help and fun teachers!”

💬 “4th R creates a safe, fun community where kids build friendships and explore creativity.”

💬 “The flexibility and trusted care make all the difference for our family.”

To every child, parent, staff member, and supporter who has been part of our journey, thank you for making 4th “R” a place filled with kindness, connection, and community for the past 40 years. We can’t wait to continue creating memories with our 4th “R” family for many more years to come! 🎉❤️
