California State Retirees The California State Retirees is the largest, most experienced organization exclusively representing California State Retirees. 45,000 members strong!

California State Retirees (CSR) is the largest and most experienced state retiree organization in California. CSR provides vital information to its 43,000 state retiree members and represents them before the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) and the state Legislature. Recently, CSR led the way in defeating a plan by CalPERS to post all retirees’ pensions on its website. Alth

ough the information is available under the Public Records Act, CSR opposed automatically posting the information in the absence of a formal request. Among the many benefits of CSR membership are a monthly, 12 page newspaper, access to detailed legislative reports, a retired annuitant program, discounts on products and services, and access to the latest news and information through multiple social media channels. Lively meetings with interesting speakers are provided through CSR’s 26 chapters, located throughout California, often offering reasonably priced luncheons and the opportunity to network with other retirees.
