From College Corps Fellow to UC Berkeley University Medalist 🎓✨

Congratulations to Charles Long on receiving UC Berkeley’s highest honor for a graduating senior, the University Medal. Charles’ journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible through resilience, service, and determination.💪✨

As a College Corps Fellow, Charles dedicated himself to uplifting others through mentorship and advocacy. He tutored incarcerated men through UC Berkeley’s Teach in Prison program at San Quentin, mentored justice-involved youth in Bay Area juvenile halls through Incarceration to College and became a leader in Underground Scholars. In every space he served, Charles brought lived experience, compassion, and leadership.

Now, he graduates from UC Berkeley with a 4.0 GPA and a legacy of impact that will continue far beyond campus.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate one of our fellows whose story reflects the heart of service: using personal experience to create change for others.
Congratulations, Charles — California is cheering you on. 💛🐻
