California Cradle-to-Career Data System

The California Cradle-to-Career Data System (C2C) is for a Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs to lead C2C’s legislative programs.

The Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs will:
◾ Lead C2C’s legislative strategy and communicate our work to legislative members and their staff
◾ Analyze proposed statute, regulations, and policy and draft language when requested
◾ Advise C2C’s Executive Team on federal, state, or local legislative initiatives that could impact C2C’s programs
◾ Represent C2C at external meetings, including with the Legislature and in hearings before legislative committees

All interested applicants must apply by September 21, 2026.

This is C.E.A position. The salary range is $10,349 - $12,526 per month, and this position is eligible for the state’s generous benefits.

We would like to thank former Community Engagement Advisory Board member Lorenzo Gamboa for his service. His thoughtful approach to language access and community outreach efforts helped shape C2C’s language access and engagement approach. As one of the inaugural Language Access Liaisons, Lorenzo helped with the creation of C2C’s Spanish Resource Page and his proposal, the C2C Train-the-trainer Ambassador Model is already inspiring the way C2C will engage with current and future Advisory Board members.

C2C Spotlight: We’d like to thank former Data and Tools Advisory Board member Diana Phuong for her impactful time at C2C. During her service, Diana submitted a proposal that planted the seed for our CalKIDS data linkage project. This project pinpointed 40,000 community college students with more than $20 million in available scholarships through CalKIDS.
