Head Start California is seeking presenters for Health Institute 2026, happening November 4–6 in Costa Mesa, CA.

This year’s theme, Health in Every Connection, highlights integrated approaches to supporting children, families, and staff across Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

We’re looking for engaging, practical sessions across topics including physical health, mental health, disabilities, nutrition, safety, maternal health, and integrated systems.

Great news for California families! 🌞 SUN Bucks are back this summer, helping millions of children access nutritious food when school is out.
Most eligible families are automatically enrolled — check your mailbox starting in late May! 🍎🥪

☀️🍉Great news, California! The SUN Bucks food program is renewed for Summer 2026! 😋

More than 3.5 million eligible California children will automatically receive SUN Bucks EBT cards that can be used to purchase groceries starting in June, and each eligible child will receive $120. Eligible children who are not automatically enrolled will need to apply through their school to get benefits.
