Not an open seat in sight 🤩 The future of nursing is in excellent hands 🙌🏽

The recent ACNL multi-chapter (Greater San Francisco, East Bay and Silicon Valley) panel brought together experts from across Northern California.

🎤 Panelists represent: CommonSpirit Health | Stanford Health Care | Kaiser Permanente | John Muir Health | Sutter Health | UCSF Health | El Camino Health

Thank you to the experts for a captivating panel presentation 🤍🌟 The outstanding panelists shared their expertise and engaged the audience with such authenticity and insight.

So many meaningful takeaways from tonight’s new grad residency panel: practical, honest, and exactly what emerging nurses need right now.

• Capture your clinical experiences—journaling can be a powerful tool to articulate your growth during interviews
• Rejection from a program does not define your value or potential
• Expanding your search out of state can open doors and accelerate your career
• Every new graduate deserves access to a structured residency. We remain committed to supporting that pathway

From a leadership lens, what truly resonates in interviews: a growth mindset, professionalism, coachability, humility, teamwork, and compassion.

Equally important is how you show up in the clinical environment matters. Support beyond your assigned patients, communicate proactively, be professional, and Introduce yourself to nurse leaders on the unit. These moments shape your professional brand more than you realize.

And a special thank you to University of San Francisco Eileen Fry-Bowers, PhD, JD, APRN, FAAN, Lynette Apen, DNP, RN, CNS, CNE, Dr. Bob Patterson, DNP, MSN, RN, and Carolina Echeverria. Your leadership and coordination made this event possible. Truly exceptional work 🌟

Shout out to Daniel Ramberger, DNP, RN, NEA-BC from the ACNL State Board of Directors for opening the night with the value of ACNL Membership! May Membership push 2027 in 2027! Join today 👏🏼
