1. If you could instantly become an expert at one thing, what would it be?
I would say history because I think that it’s very important to know our past so that we can be able to learn from our mistakes. I also find history facts very interesting and am always interested in seeing how life was like back then, the crazy things that people used to go through. But also all of the amazing things humans have built and created.
2. What motivates you when things get difficult?
Number one: my family and number two: is being able to create the life that I want to live. When things get difficult I think about not giving up to not let my family down. More than that, I want to be a role model for all my little cousins because I want to show them that if I can be successful, get an education, and pursue what I like while still living, then they can as well. Looking at how far I’ve come now, what I have done, who I’ve met, etc. is something that younger me would have never believed was possible because I was never the wealthiest growing up, and sometimes told that I would not be successful, or being made to feel like I am not worth and valued more. So doing what I like and creating the life that I want to live is important to me because I can prove all of them wrong and show myself that I can do it!
3. What is something people wouldn’t know just by looking at you?
I’m a very big nerd when it comes to star wars, pokemon, DC, and Greek mythology. I could talk your ear off forever about any one of these lol! I’m also Mexican/Guatemalan, y por eso tengo sabor😁🇬🇹🇲🇽
4. What political issue do you wish got more attention?
I wish this wasn’t really considered a political issue: but climate change and looking at what’s happening Gary Indiana and other parts of the country that have been negatively affected by major storms, leaving these cities without power for weeks. Looking at how are planet is getting warmer, sea levels rising, more earthquakes than usual, and the lack of attention that this is all getting is something I wish people paid more attention to.
