Happy Holidays to all! Between October and December our Calendars are full of festivities and events that circle back to one theme COMMUNITY ❤️. I’m very lucky to have a strong community that holds me up and supports all my endeavors. I want to thank all those who are apart of my village and continue to carry me through this new year. Ending the year and beginning the year in reflection of the seven principles of Kwanzaa and continue to celebrate my ancestors throughout the year!

It’s official II’m starting my journey of becoming a Licensed Clincal Social Worker. 90% of Social Wokers in the field are women and only 15% are Black/African American with their clinical license. It’s time to change that! You don’t go into Social Work to be rich but someone has to do the !

So exciting!

State Superintendent Tony Thurmond will host a virtual press conference tomorrow at 10 a.m. to announce a new grant opportunity available for teachers in California high schools. He’ll be joined by Tim Ranzetta, Co-Founder of California-based non-profit Next Gen Personal Finance. This public-private partnership provides $1.4 million in professional development grants for teachers to start personal finance electives at their high schools, and a district-matching grant program for personal finance specialists.

So I started brainstorming about 5 years ago of a business idea. I wanted a to do something outside my day job and represent my perspective on issues. and BAM the idea stayed in my Google Drive 😂😂. But after receiving an opportunity to participate in the I was given the opportunity to begin to create a platform to share a little something something. Welp, welcome to S.O.U.L. Sharing Our Understanding in Love is no longer in the deep dark shadows of my Google Drive and is ready to play ☀️.
